is there a way to use either of these programs to play video files as well as audio files? i'd like to be able to merge my tracks with video files when i play

Traktor 2.6 sends Midi Clock via its master section. It would be possible to synchronize any other video app or hardware with Traktor, depending on what you want to do this would be a nice solution. F.e. you could sync 2 laptops, one with Traktor and the other one runnig visual apps.
