I'm running Cubase SL version 1, because I'm old fashioned. I also have a secondary PC which now takes the strain of OpenOffice, the interweb, pornography, viruses etc.

I've searched the forums here for information on these two programs but I still have questions. I want to get hold of a nice reverb and use my second PC as a kind of hardware reverb unit. What are the limitations of these pieces of software? If I wanted multiple instances of my reverb on the slave machine would I need multiple copies of Wormhole / FX Teleport? Is it worth bothering with? I'd love a really nice sounding reverb and I think that software ones will be chedaper than their hardware equivalents, so will this work, or am I being an

?

I never heard a raving report about either of these of somebody that has used it for more than one week. Latency is a big issue. Freezing tracks adds way more VSTi power to your compositions.

Btw: hardware effect units of around $500 can sound very nice!

wormhole works great!!!teleport maybe the newest update is good,1.1 version caused some crashes..i only tried the demo..

but the latencies get decisively smaller in accordance with a greater dataline...by means of gibabit-lan one achieves definitely lower latencies

can somebody quantify the latency with wormhole or fx teleport over Lan...on, for example, two amd 3000+ with 1 gb of ram?
