Great news everyone: Rob Elliott has been selected to create the Giovani 'a capella' demo. Rob is not only a fabulous composer but he is also a choral conductor. His skills and choral knowledge will surely make for a wonderful representation of the library in "solo" mode.

We are super excited and cannot wait to showcase Gio all alone.(OK, I admit it. I keep calling it GIO. It's a cool nickname)

wow i could cry out when i heard the demos, they truly sound very amazing.
i hope you will release the "lite version" soon (maybe with an upgrade option to the full) i got not enought money for that at the moment i´m building a new audio pc and takes my hole free money for the next few month...too bad. however i think these children will not get older and loose their voice, so theirs a light at the end for me

Hi, it sounds absolutely wonderful. I'm new to samples, there seems to be a Kontakt version, is kontakt all I need?

I'm in the UK, is there additional postage?

Yes. A full version of Kontakt 1.5.3 or Version 2 is all you need. Also, you will need a PC running XP to be compatible with our Vocal Control software.

We are looking into the possibility of porting the VCU to OSX in the near future. This should notbe considered a guarantee but more so an acknowledgment of our Mac user base. In the absence of a Mac version of VCU, you will find that most VCU features – including Legato – can be used or emulated in manual mode via key switching.

There's no need to load multiple versions of Kontakt, because there are single Kontakt patches which contain ALL the sub patches for any particular vocal group - ie there is a single patch for Boys Ensemble, a patch for Girls Ensemble, a patch for Boys Chamber, a patch for Girls Chamber. Each patch has ALL the word elements performed by that vocal grouping. One patch and you have access to just about all the word building elements for the group, although you might use another patch instance or two for sustained, fx and scoring type voices.

It gets a little more cumbersome if you want to access the legato version of each program at the same time as that adds another two patches per word element.

In the absence of a Mac version of the utility,there are some simplified non-VCU programs - the 'manual keyswitching programs' - which make it easier for Macaddicts to do basic manual keyswitching. For example, If you listen to the GIO BETA DEMO and the middle track (Agnus Dei) the composer simply did...

My copy's arrived today. Of course I haven't read the manual and only got as far as loading the first DVD onto the hardrive before giving it a spin in one of my tracks. Wow, great stuff, money well spent. Which of the MIDI loop devices do you recommend? I see you use one in the manual for Cubase (which I have), is that the one you would recommend for use within Cubase SX3?

I received my copy of Gio last week, and I am really impresed.
First of all folders are very well placed, very clear, so it is easy to see all the possibilities.
The choir sounds completely real, I really close my eyes and try to hear something fake, but...just a warm choir
I love the difference between boys and girls, and the way girls reach A5
Legato is amazing, no words, just try it.
I don't know what more can I say...it is the best voices library I have tried with a lot of difference, and the cost is really a gift!! So go and buy now if you don't have this masterpiece in your HD...
