FL Studio - Multiple outputs?

Hi, I'm having trouble routing the outputs of Multitimbral vstis with FLStudio 5. I'm using Hypersonic, and rather than having multiple instances of it running, i'd like to control the additional outputs with the "Midi Out" generator. This isn't a problem and it works fine, the problem is I can't get fruity to assign mulitple mixer channels to the plugin, e.g. I want Hypersonic channel 1 to mixer track 1, channel 2 to mixer track 2 etc. The manual says click "Enable Multiple Outputs" and it'll do it all automatically, but it simply doesn't work! It still sends all the outputs to Channel 1.
Anyone had any luck getting this feature to work? I've tried it with all my Multi-Vstis and none of them work.
Cheers,
Chas

Are you sure you checked the 'Enable multiple Outputs' option in the menu?ChasPick wrote:Hi, I'm having trouble routing the outputs of Multitimbral vstis with FLStudio 5. (Can be found in the left top menu of the Fruity Wrapper window,
that with the down arrow, you know?)

You have to set the FX number on the Channel Plugin dialogue as well (don't leave it at "--"). It needs to know where to start listing the mixer channels from.
edit - oh, I still have this example uploaded from a while back. It's about enabling multi-outs in energyXT, but the method is the same:

Yes i've set the plugin mixer track to 1, yes i've clicked "Enable Multiple Outputs", no it still doesn't work
I've followed every example on the internet and in the helpfile and still nothing, It's very frustrating!

maybe the outouts have to be configured somewhere in the vsti? No problems here with that

Try a free plugin e.g. e-phonic Drumatic to check if this pluggi works.
If yes, the problem must be your plugin.

ok here's exactly what I do.
I open a blank project in fruity loops
I add a multitimberal vsti, e.g. Hypersonic or Edirol Orchestral and assign it to mixer track 1 and midi port 2
I click "Enable Multiple Outputs"
I select the patches I need within the plugin (bank 1 - strings, bank 2 - bass)
I add a "Midi Out" Generator and assign it to midi port 2, channel 2
I add string notes to the Vsti
I add bass notes to the Midi out generator
I press play, it plays exactly how it should but only outputs to mixer track 1
I've been using fruity loops since version 3 and consider myself a "power user" but this is the only feature I've not been able to get to work, didn't work in flstudio 4 (didn't try in 3), didn't work in flstudio 5, so I formatted my machine, reinstalled everything, still doesn't work!
thanks for your help with this people, it's very annoying

Just out of curiosity.ChasPick wrote:DOH! i'm a moron, didn't select the right output within the vsti!, fixed now, sorry to waste your time!
Did you go to the mixer and selected "Link selected channels starting from this track" after selecting the allow multi outs?
I didn´t see being mentioned in the thread and it seems as the obviuos, but I had a hard time figuring this one out.
Later.

no offense germ, but you dont have to have that checked...it automatically assigns the tracks following the plugin (once you have assign the plugin to a mixer track)...that's why I put vsampler in slot 16....then bank B is vsamplers outs...the same should be done with fpc imo...which come to think of it fpc is a multi output pluggin as well...you dont have to select linked channels for that either....Kaos Axiom wrote:Just out of curiosity.ChasPick wrote:DOH! i'm a moron, didn't select the right output within the vsti!, fixed now, sorry to waste your time!
