wow :o did you come up with that all by yourself? :hihi:
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

To the people that own a copy: Can you give me an example of something you learned from the book that you weren't aware of before? I'm thinking of buying it but might spend the money on a FL generator or an Ext license instead if the book covers stuff I'm already familiar with.

well, if you need it cheap, i was considering selling mine ;)

The online / built in help is merely this...

this knob does this.
that slider does that.

While these brief descriptions are better than nothing, they really do not tell you how to get the most out of frooty; or how to tackle more advanced concepts.

Thanks for all the input, everyone.

A couple of things (of many) that come to mind are:
1) Using a Layer channel to 'roll up' all my drum parts into one so I can edit them much easier. Lots of options in using Layers too, which aren't obvious when you just add it as a new channel.
2) Reading the manual fundamentally altered the way I approach creating a track as it describes the workflow (albeit briefly). FL Studio is like any piece of software - there are many, many ways of acheving the same objective, its just that some are better than others. The manual described a much better (ie more efficient) way than I'd been using.

Even if the online/inbuilt help was really good (and its not too bad from a technical persepective), I'd still buy the manual anyway as its just a better way to access information. Thats why e-books never really caught on - a printed document is just so much more accessible and comfortable to use, so the FL Studio Bible is worth buying just for that reason as well. I'm a big fan! :)

(Hey, it won't increase my talent, but at least I can make my same mediocre music more quickly than before! :D )

Good on ya Kovacs! You won't regret it. Better go and clear that molten plastic off your keyboard now! :)

The Sytrus section is worth the money by itself (IMHO) but if you think you got it all covered go ahead and support Jörgen and purchase EXT. I give you permission for that
The book is really good fo me. :D

The FL Bible also includes an index and cross-referencing, both of which help self-teaching.

For example if you look at the section on the Wave-Traveller it also points you to the Fruity Scratcher.

Carb.
