mandolarian, you are right about glossy brochures... You also had to mention celebrities praising this product and distributors all over the world.

Here's a little 30 second riff direct from my Guitar/Bosstone into Chainer/Boogex & recorded live into Audition using the Marshall JCM2000 Sm57 preset.

Boogex Test

Sweet! :)

I love the idea of the handles for tweaking & I hope you continue to develop it Aleksei! :)

Cheers
Alex

No I dinna dload them yet but I will (gotta get ready to go to work here now).

I really like the heavy punch on the Marshall presets, and I use an SM57 myself in front of a Twin Reverb mostly, so it sounds pretty faithful IMHO. So more of those would be cool and also I think some more openback double 12s would be good -- and maybe if you could have a mic/distance knob yeah? :) I think the IRs are what eats up the CPU, but I really didn't have much problems at all as it is.

I REALLY like graphical EQ type interfaces and that's where I can't stand Amplitube or Green Machine -- all them teeny knobs and shite. But I've been using Green MAchine because for me it is more intuitive and less concerned with trying to look like some kind of virtual powerhead. So I love what you're doing here -- get down to a clean GUI and forget the silly artwork. I can't imagine a better way to tweak the cabinets than with the tweak-handles you put there, so it's a big plus AFAIAC -- just some no-nonsense controls. Way cool :)

OK - I'll shut up now :hihi:

Thanks. It's always a pleasure to discuss development with somebody who is positive in the first place. BTW, those presets are in the latest 0.9.3 version. This version also has a dynamic control - it should help the plug-in to be more responsive to your playing.

Now, what the hell does that add to the conversation?

I'm just tired of people who always feel the need to tear others down.

Yes I agree. Sad to see a personal attack like that in a product-oriented thread like this.

sorry, but this mp3 demonstrates exactly that 'digital nastyness' I was critisizing... - do you really find the sound to be pleasant? :?

Hrm, after some further tests and evaluation of tube amp sounds I understand what people are looking for. Unfortunately, in Boogex it can be hard if at all possible to create a full-body roaring and smooth tube distortion like the one found in various high-end tube guitar amps.
