The The "Mind Bomb" - STILL FREAKIN' GREAT

Perhaps my single favorite album of eighties, and I haven't owned it for years. Just downloaded it last night, and after all these years, it's more relevant than ever, and has aged better than perhaps anything else I liked back then.

Saw them (er, him: Matt Johnson) at the Bronco Bowl in Dallas years ago, when he was touring with Johnny Marr on guitar chores. Amazing...

I sincerely hope that the kids who see that commercial with "This Is The Day", and download it take the time to explore this album, it's a absolute gem...

I couldn't get into that album at all. I love Infected [it was the first CD I bought that I didn't already own the LP of] and still play it regularly but Mind Bomb did absolutely nothing for me. In fact, I really hated it.

needless to say, you downloaded it legally from somewhere, right?

Burning Blue Soul is a masterpiece, too (as Matt Johnson). Early 4AD goodness.
He collaborated with the likes of Genesis P. Orridge, William Burroughs, Einstürzende Neubauten and Christiane F on the Decoder Soundtrack, which is Very Cool. One of the best tracks on that album is by him.
But Mind Bomb, hmmm, dunno.
