you have to push the play button before the song and wait until it loads
I did the same waited for my winamp to bounce up
Or it might be that you don´t have installed macromedia Flash player7. on your computer.

I'll be interested to hear some replies to this thread too. Iv been out of the trance loop for a couple of years now, not really sure whose doing anything worth listening to.
Tell you something that I hate about dance music - the amount of amazing tunes that never really get any exposure. I went to the first too Global Gathering's, and at the first one there were literally hundreds of quality trance tunes that Iv never heard again since. I sometimes wish i had the time and energy to hunt down the good tracks, cuz they are about (usually hidden under several layers of shite).
PS. And no it wasnt just cuz i was baked!!!

I know teeboy i feel the same
And since i am out of the scene for a 4-5 years i'm kinda unsure wahat the latest and greatest is. So i can get inspired, Not this garbage we hear on internet stations, commercial stations and regular crowbar nonsense.
The good stuff is always underground and people who say trance sucks they never heard anything good, stuff we're talking about. Maybe its better that way, f**k em if they can't get it. They're just not ready for it hehehehheheheh

Yeh, totally.
But its not just that. Sometimes you hear tunes which are fairly mainstream in style, but simply knoxk ten bells out of most commerical releases. But you only hear them once if you're lucky.
I think people sometimes get the impression that trance = supersaws, pitchbasses, cheesy vocals etc.
There are some really great tracks about that have generally simple but effective hook lines, coupled with some creative sound design and beats. This is the stuff I'd like to hear more of.
Take James Holden's work for example. His tracks get quite a bit of attention, but the point still stands. These range from trance to progressive to techno, and very often hoover around in the middle somewhere. Never the less, this guys tracks are always supperb imo, very creative and work on the dance floor equally as well.

people seem to think trance music is about the sound, well yea, the commercial trance(which has become dance music). But real tracks are mostly about composition and i don't mean intro/verse/chorus/verse/blahh blahh

true, but it's still very commersial sounding imo...easily digested melodies and very repetative..that's commersial trance for ya...intro verse chorus verse yaddayadda..D-Fusion wrote:?![]()
Did you listen to the song "Soul"![]()
I can´t hear any blondie getting an orgasm in the mic on that one (+ no supersaw)

Check out a classic for a start: The Muses Rapt - Spiritual Healing (the melody and arrangement strikes me everytime.
some other oldies but goodies for example.
collective unconscious-flrourostani tranceandance
*Infected mushroom
-dracul
-Sailing In The Sea Of Mushroom
-B.P.Empire
*S.U.N. project
-computer computer
-380 volt
-Space dwarfs
-dance of the witches
-at the edge of time
*hux flux
*x-dream
*astral projection & hallucinogen & yahel & cosmosis
there is other stuff out there thats really good, just that I don't rememeber the names I only listed stuff thats well known...
They also play some good stuff sometimes on swedish-mushroom.com, they don't list the names of the songs and artist so I don't know who plays but its mostly stuff i never heard before. The stuff they play here is more up to date so some tracks are even more amazing by leaps and bounds
