Netsound,

Iv never really got into the whole 'psy' thing. In fact I consider this a different genre or music completely than trance. I should probably check it out really!

btw, Iv listened to some Juno Reactor, do they count as psy?

D-fusion,

Thats probably because we're the only f**kers on here who've been out clubbing in the last ten years.

Post

meh. I dont like most modern trance.

p.s. what's wrong with remixes? Most og the greatest trance tracks ever made were remixes IMO

Nothing wrong with remixes, I just don't want a list of songs I already heard. Only new stuff that out and hot this year.

God No, Knock on wood

That's why they don't reply...I got to find another site then....

Nope sorry, juno reactor is not psy or goa :(

Also, Goa and Psy is the most advanced form of trance. I'll post some nonepsy/goa stuff a little later once I remember some. and when I find the latest gems I'll post that too. Hang on, we'll start a new TRANCE forum section here and take over kvr with glowsticks and pacifiers

P.S. does anyone remember brainbug? space frog? Nostrum?

How about Frankie Bones?

Oh, don't forget to check out the best trance of the early mid 90's Tunnel Trance Force Vol 2. from germany .Back when it was all about fun fun fun in the open sun, remember the love parade? Jeez, its all kinda gone down the drain since 1998.

Lucipher,

Thats the f**king point mate, right there!

If people dont go out and experience dance music how its supposed to be, then its hardly supprising they're not into it.

I couldnt sit at my PC and listen to an all night techno set. But I could quite easily go out and do it. And Id probably think its the best music Iv ever heard!

Post

note:nothing against nirvana, green day, nin, bob marley, smashing pumpkins, trickie and other cool bands.

On the other had, I like some hiphop and rap but I would never go to a live show cause without the $15,000 dollar large diaphragm mic and the million dollar studio fx, it kind of sucks, I mean they have no voice. Its just some broken vocal cord type sound...auch, ontop of crowd noise

As for rock shows...well, and I'm not gonna talk about going to a brian adams/dave mathew's band shit. Please get the hell out of here with this shit, keep it on z100 please! Who the f**k listens to commercial radio anyways...a bunch of rombies! stupid f**king comercialnatizm killed the movies, music and now my appetite.

Picaso died poor and now they're sucking on his bones so to speak! Hypocrites!

Post

Thats it mate, but there are some styles which are meant to be experienced in the skin, other are not. You could probably say that hip hop is best experienced while cruising long beach in ya ride (lol). It really doesnt translate well into big room shows.

I got to disagree on the rock thing though, there's no better way to experience a band than live. I dont get to see half as much live music as I'd like to be honest, but I always make time to catch the occassional gig!
