sample-based filter / gate

Hi all, am looking for a plug-in that will use a drum sequence sample to gate-filter (?) a vocal sample so that the sample comes in and out in the same rhythm as the original drum setting. Aptrigga was almost there but I don't want the sample to trigger, instead I want the beat sequence to cut the vocal sampel cross sectionally if that makes sense? Am hoping there might be a reaktor ensemble that might do this but am prepared to fork over the $ for something worthwhile.

This might work, assuming you have a host that allows flexible routing. If not, get one

1) Get KTDrumTrigger and use it to output midi notes according to your drum sequence.

2) Now send the MIDI notes to dfx midi gater.

3) Send your vocals to themidi gater as well.


If your drum sequence is MIDI you can skip the first step.

Thanks, will give that a burl - do you think sonar4, project5v2 or reason3 would be best bet? Am somewhat of a gating virgin.
