Monitoring Vocal Input

I just recently purchased a audiophile usb interface and have my mixer and mic hooked up to it
im running them into adobe "audition" (formerly cool edit pro)
i am able to record sound but not monitor it as its playing live, i can hear my music playing but my input doesnt play back until its already recorded,
is there any plugins , host , programs ...anything, i can use to monitor my input from my usb interface?????? (all other aspects of the interfeace work perfectly: midi controls, cd playback, cpu sounds, modem sounds,other sound applictaions)
