You know the commercial with the catchy tune and the "old guy" dancing. What is the synth on that?

For those who haven't had the displeasure of seeing these commercials, it's a scary old guy dancing around to a instrumental loop of the Vengaboys "We Like to Party"

I'm pretty sure it's a Nord Lead.

I whipped up a patch for Sytrus that is pretty darn close, if not the same.

And that old guy is scary :-o

It's a kind of layered saw sound: sharp, not thick as if it has been detuned. I'll see if I can post an example....

That dude is like "The Sopranos" Uncle Junior character - on mescaline - dancing like a freak until his Viagra kicks in.

That is SCARY! :-o

etherdesign has hit it on the head. That tune is We Like to Party. Check out the Vengaboys song Up and Down for a similar synth sound. Wonder if someone from Vengaboys did that commercial? I don't think the dancing old guy is really old either. If he is, then they're giving him some good amphetamines before filming!

Another good thing about Edgar Ray Killen going to prison for the murders of those civil rights workers in 1964 is now we won't have to watch him dancing around like a madman in that stupid f**king advert anymore...
