Does any host have a usable Freeze?

I have tried so many hosts and none of them had a convenient Freeze feature.

What I mean by convenient is this:

- fast freezing time
- ability to automate envelopes on the frozen parts
- when you unfreeze a part that has automation envelopes, the automation envelope should remain the same for the midi part (*read note below)
- when you freeze a midi part that has automation envelopes, the automation envelopes should remain the same for the frozen part (*read note below)
- ability to move around frozen parts in the arrangement
- when you move a frozen part in the arrangement and then unfreeze it, the midi part should move to the same position as the frozen part (kind of like midi and frozen parts linked together in the background)
- ability to mute/solo frozen tracks
- Global freeze settings: ability to specify for the whole project things like default duration of freeze tail, default minimum gate, default freeze method (like, freeze + uload VSTI from memory etc)
- have option to freeze only midi part or midi part plus FX inserts
- to freeze multiple tracks at once. ( you highlight some tracks and specify looping region. then it will freeze that whole selection.) - not my main priority but would be nice for some people :)

*note: I only mean automation envelopes that are possible in both midi and frozen(audio) tracks. Mostly(99.9% of the time) just volume envelopes. thats all.

Out of all the hosts I have tried, Samplitdue comes the closest to meeting all of these requirenments. However, it still does not retain automation envelopes when freezing and unfreezin.

Does anyone know of any host that will do all these things?

Otherwise, I think freeze only slows you down.

Currently, I cannot finish a track without bouncing because of CPU/memory overloads. I have a pretty fast computer but that doesn't help if you load up few CPU hungry VSTs.
However, I just hate to bounce. I want to only work with MIDI.
Am I asking for too much? :(

no, it doesn't, it's actually one of the worst I have seen

True, SX3s freeze isn't all that shiny at all, more to the opposite.
And I wholeheartedly agree that we deserve better and more flexible freezing options.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

What has only changed are three things:
1) Much faster
2) Ability to freeze FX on audio track
3) Annoying window pops up now each time you freeze VSTis asking you how you want to freez it.

Thats all.
Many of my stated requirnments are still not met. hehe

i like sonar´s freeze very much. although the midi parts don´t follow freeze is a real help within sonar, as it´s quite fast. and as i´m using no1-cpu-hog-emulatorX i definitely need a good freeze. try it out if you haven´t yet

logic

:D
My other host is Bruce Forsyth

so, when you move the frozen part and then unfreeze it, the midi part stays the same or the location of midi part is also updated to match the new location of the frozen part?

logic 7's freeze passes all these requirements?

i meant that the location of the midi parts is not updated when you move the frozen part, sorry. but still worth a try, really!

oh, too bad. ya, will give it a try but just because it doesn't have this feature it already throws me off, so no good for me :(

I can't believe that no single host has all of my outlined abilities. The funny thing is that it is all feasible because every single of these requirements can be found among many hosts, but no single host has them all.

In sonar you would just select both tracks to make your edits on - or put them in a track folder and make the edits to that.

It is also better to use Bounce To Audio instead of freeze if you're going to be editing and unfreezing will obviously return it to the unfrozen state.

Kind regards
