I've just put our first-ever VST effect plugin up at www.novakill.com
It looks like this:

As you can see, it features a 32 step gate with its own SV Filter, LFO and Distortion. Its all based on components from the latest Generation X synths and it should be fairly handy. I dunno why I didn't think of it before.

Actually, it doesn't look like that anymore. I added an extra control after I took that screen shot. Doesn't matter, it still fairly rocks.

Thanks, BONES. I've been playing around with it for about an hour, making good noise out of boring background vocal tracks. It's solid in FLStudio, and low CPU. I really like this.

One thing you could add when you find the time is a 'tie' to extend the length of the gated parts. That would make it really killer

Can anyone tell me if this plug in can be used in audacity?. I've set-up the vst enabler and downloaded this plug in but nothing shows up in the effects.

I tried it but it made the audio click. I may try and find a more useful solution at some point.

Looking forward to any other effects ideas you might come up with a well!

(I'm always looking for new cool ways to totally mangle my guitar sounds

You're welcome. As you may or may not be aware, I tend not to use a lot of effects, otherwise I probably would have thought of this a long time ago. And I [nevercheck this forum.
