I see what you mean, but I doubt it would blow up... well, not unless you tried to play it in that state

(Live only uses the VSTs when you are playing back their sound, so the CPU won't hit 240% when you hit stop!)

Once you have recorded a fresh arrangement, you simply need to refreeze the tracks.

Regarding importing frozen clips as audio, this is possible, but I don't expect to work out how, when or why I would do this until I have lived with Live 5 for longer. The great thing about Live imho is the fact that it can be used in so many different ways. I'm still discovering new strategies in Live 4!

By the way, beta 5.0b3 is now available for download

FUll details of the bugs squished... and improvements to the features

are on the Ableton beta forum.

Yes, I asked and it won't be before long, but they have a solution for it...

but the is also the bug with self oscillating vst parameters that screw up the undo and more.....

Okay, everyone. Live 5.0b4 is now online (still same beta group).

Alex of Ableton wrote that the beta will probably be opened to everyone as of beta 5.0b5, this weekend.

I've noticed that there are now very few posts being added at the beta forum, so I think most of the biggies are dealt with, hence moving onto a wider test group.

FaX, yeah i didn't receive any mail either - although i'm a new live4 license owner, not an older customer... still, good thing i checked kvr today - i still got in.

basicly they're uping a new beta every one to two days just about, guess this doesn't include the weekends but it might, i've gotten every beta since version one just by checking daily, I skim the forum anyway
