If I freeze a multi out vsti midi track everything works perfectly (I'm operating at 32bit/96kHz with 8 outputs).
If I save the song with the frozen tracks, close the song, shut down the PC and reboot, when the song is reloaded I get massive audio distortion after a few bars have played back. If I unfreeze everything is normal again.
I just found out that If I let the reloaded song with its frozen tracks play through once with the sound off, the second and subsequent playbacks are perfect! This seems to be similar to the situation with one of the "test sa" progs a while ago, perhaps there could be a similar cure?
I'm pleased I found a workaround, as freeze is such a quick way to get the cpu back, and more convenient than render if the midi track is not quite finished. Perhaps this only happens at this bit depth/sample rate?
No other audio problems here, no crackles at all in normal playback.
Superb audio quality!
