I tried it- it shows up as an available effect in audacity, but applying the effect (regardless of settings) results in a null track (zero amplitude).iamtheking wrote:Can anyone tell me if this plug in can be used in audacity?. You aren't going to be able to use rythmic gating effects like this in audio editors that don't feature a clock to syncronize to; you'll need a sequencer for that.SWTrex wrote:I tried it- it shows up as an available effect in audacity, but applying the effect (regardless of settings) results in a null track (zero amplitude).iamtheking wrote:Can anyone tell me if this plug in can be used in audacity?. Really great work! A lot of thoughtful and useful parameters. It reminds me of the "gate mask" effect on an old app called Tuareg -- really liked that effect (though that one was stereo) and haven't heard anything like it till the Killergate.
Nice concept and design. Thanks so much for making it available!

I had an epiphany last night. After I cleaned it up I added a TIE button to the beast. I thought of a different way of doing it. It still clicks a little bit when you first switch from off to on but next time you load the project it seems fine. Same download, click on my sig.AudioWhore wrote:One thing you could add when you find the time is a 'tie' to extend the length of the gated parts. That would make it really killer

IMPORTANT NOTE
I just realized that I haven't set up the MIDI CC numbers yet so don't do any automation that you want to save until I post a new update.

I really dig this effect, best sequenced gating VST I think I've used yet. Definitly a keeper in my VST folder. Thanks Bones!

i tried the tie effect and it works fine but i was thinking along the lines of a tie for every note as this one works globally.
you want it to go:
ta ta taaaa ta ta taaaaa ta ta taaaaa ta ta taaaaa
etc
or you can get around this my giving the plugin 64 steps (rather than 32) and turning up the divisions (so it runs at twice the speed).
a gate plugin called mgTriggerGate is what i have installed at the moment and they resolve the clicking issue (by the looks of things) by adding a release feature. Turning up the release slightly does the trick.
Also I found the downwards sloping sawtooth wave in the lfo does not sync.
What I want in this plug is 4 bars of gate programability. No clicks. And a second LFO to control the filter. Two lfos on the one filter gives wicked movement! And down the track if yer up for it get some more lfo shapes happening

Otherwise this plugin is starting to look very very nice!
