VST effects in audacity??

I know that vst effects are able to be used in audacity. I have gotten the vst enabler and tried some stuff but none of them show up in the effects list.....can someone link me to some vst effects which work well with audacity?

Forget about Audacity if you want to use VSTs. Get Kristal.
You have to put the VSTs in the Audacity folder and even then you won't see the GUI.
Sorry if I'm being too severe with Audacity, but I was just very disappointed with its "VST support".

I think audacity is pretty good for being free and all...just wanted to see if it could get much better. Most of the distortion effects i've downloaded kinda not perform well..
