That's just the way I work. It perfectly matches my Windoze theme and most of the software I use professionally. I work in dark rooms and I can stare at dark, low contrast GUI's all day without any eye-strain. Trust me, it is much better for you.
You'll notice that its wrapped in my eXT skin, which is also very similar.

It was completely out of the blue for me, there was no big confrontation or anything, I just went to the Fruity forums one day and couldn't get in. I had only recently resigned as s Fruity beta-tester because I was hardly using it anymore and I'd said a few things about it here and on their forums, but as much positive as negative . They purged a few people at the same time so I think maybe I was just in there to make up the numbers. Until that time I had actualyl thought that JMC and I were pretty good mates.

Damn - completely spoiled the illusion, here was me imagining all this fire & brimstone shit kicking off, with the corpse of nostradamus spinning in his grave giving off sparks whilst the inmates of asylums worldwide started to bounce off the padded walls of their cells.

I don't know about this effect in particular in Audacity, but I have found that if you put VST plugins in the VST directory like the docs say, they don't work. Put them in the PLUGIN directory and they work fine.

As sickle pointed out, this plugin needs to be fed the tempo from the host. Without it, the gate will not advance and you probably won't hear anything. So I'm thinking that it won't work in any audio editor.

I was just playing with killerGATE, using it as a guitar effect with Cortex as my virtual amp(a fine piece of work also I must say). Very kewl results, reminded me of the solo break at the end of Prince's "Let's Go Crazy", the one where the rest of the band drops out. I was doing the riff to "Bridge Of Sighs, then some pentatonic noodling. If you want, Bones, I'll email it to you.
