FL has something like thissoma wrote:I agree that not having redo has got me before. I think that a good way to change the whole undo/redo thing (when or if it ever changes) would be to have a history of actions that you could travel backward and forward in.

I guess I'll have to add my voice to the choir about the asio-latency issue. I find energyXT to be superb in many ways but it has some basic flaws that has to be dealt with and the latency are one of those.
Sure, we all have our own agendas what we want to see developed, as our fearless leader also must have, but surely the basic functions of the program must come first whether it's midi, audio or whatever.
The program still rules of course.

We have proper mono signal handling, at least...
YAY Mono file handling
We must all work in very different ways, as I use loads of audio and don't miss pdc much at all

this isn't about pdc at all! - you misunderstood something!Sturgeon wrote: We must all work in very different ways, as I use loads of audio and don't miss pdc much at all![]()

(pdc isn't specific to audio-tracks anyway b.t.w.)

when you record an audiofile to some tracks you've allready recorded, ext places the new audio at the wrong position (the ms your soundcard needs to deliver the audio, that's something around your asio latency). so recording one track after another isn't possible without moving every take to the right positio after recording. that's a real showstopper.

and what's even worse is that you have to 'guess' what's the right position...aldi wrote:so recording one track after another isn't possible without moving every take to the right positio after recording. that's a real showstopper.

maybe the problem for jorgen is, that the asio interface he is using doesn't report the right latency. so here's a tip for you jorgen:
do it like tracktion does. you have to connect the output of your soundcard to the input and then (by pressing a knob) tracktion sends a triggersignal and detects by monitoring the input when it returns. after that tracktion knows the latency.

I use XT to record audio, but mainly just guitar riffs that I then turn into loops.
