"Best" = What do you prefer, what makes you happy when doing LPF/HPF.

So, you guyes think the URS MIX/S EQ beats all of the above for this purpouse?

Post

i think hydratone is crap for tansparent hi/low pass shelfs, its jus not surgical enough below 20hz and above 20k, you can always here it before you've even been able to remove anything.

prob not ideal but sx's Q is what i use, although a shit eq it sounds more transparent for shelfs than waves ren to me.

sorry i didnt read this:(for doing lo-pass and hi-pass filters?)

ditto

1) Sonalksis 2) URS BLT

Post

URS BLT, simple and efficient.....

The blt doesen't have a frquency knob...so it's not very good for LPF, HPF...

Does anyone know if the URS S/MIX EQs are phase linear?

Post

For me it would be equium....
Unlimited number of bands with various filter types and transparent sounding, but if you want something like hardware EQ sounding -even for hum removal- you should go for Fulltec and/or Hydratone

yup the BLT is awesome.... I use it for boosting rather than cutting....

but then again I lower the volume most of the time to match in and out... so I guess I'm only cutting after all... but the midrange freqs
