Hi there,
does anyone know, whether it's possible to control parameters of virtual instruments or AUs through a normal computer keyboard? Background: My midi keyboard doesn't have any knobs to tweak sounds via midi (apart from mod wheel and pitch bend). I'm using Logic Express 7 by the way. Thanks,
Bims

Hi bimsbrohm,
well, I just spent the afternoon exploring multiple ways of doing that (controlling plugin parameters with my computer keyboard) in Bidule ( http://www.plogue.com/ ). I've never used it in conjunction with Logic Express 7 though, so, I'm not sure if it can help you.
I can however, say, that Bidule features Open Sound Control (OSC) and can run as both a Rewire mixer and slave. I suspect that Logic Express has support for one or both of these devices, and that may be key to allowing information to pass from your keyboard through Bidule and into Logic.
A tip, in case you're new to Bidule:
.. the HID (Human Interface Device) Data Extractor is located under Misc in the right click menu. You'll want that. There's a wide range of MIDI effects and adjustments you can apply to it to get it to work in different ways.
