After much messsing around with the dreaded Soundclick I've chucked up clips of a well known ampsim's emulation of a few well known amps : Fender, Marshall and Mesa's.
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/5/spigg ... _music.htm
Since Zeoy's original idea was to get some 'bare' tones there's no modulation, delay or reverb - and rather than widdle away for the sake of vanity
I've just used the same couple of crappy lines for both the clean & heavy sounds so folks can hear how the ampsim affect the parts.
Anyways hope someone finds 'em useful...

You can allways use the Auditorium for file uploads. No need to register for both up- and downloaders.

Very good comparisons, Spiggy. What guitar(s) did you use?
I thought the Twin was actually too, hmm, "tame". Maybe a bit too brilliant too. Dunno, I own the original and it doesn't sound exactly like that. Actually all the clean sounds seem to be a bit too "friendly", the Mesa probably being closest to the real deal.
Regarding the driven sounds I found the Plexi to sound good (probably not authentic, but usually I don't care). I found the Rectifier to sound less "chugga-chugga-ish" than what I know from the original. And it's not caused by your playing (which seems to be rather fine).

You can listen to them without registering, but you can't download them for later reference.Spiggy wrote:Cheers for the heads up Sascha - I'll check it out. Didn't realise you needed to actually register with Soundclick just to listen to the clips...

These are just the stock presets Sascha - my own have a bit more 'grit' but I thought people may find the stock eq's useful rather than my 'adjusted' versions. I could up them as well if anyone's interested.Sascha Franck wrote:I thought the Twin was actually too, hmm, "tame". Maybe a bit too brilliant too. Cheers mate - like I said I thought it'd be easier to just use one line for the clean and one for the heavy so folks could hear what the amp sim does - as, for example, things like palm muting and articulation brings out a different response from each emulation.

Edit: just checked - yep maybe be better hosting them at the location you suggested instead.Sascha Franck wrote: You can listen to them without registering, but you can't download them for later reference.

Fraid not Midiworks - it's a Sansamp PSA-1 running thru a Rocktron Vooduvalve (with the preamp off) for some extra cabinet tweakage.Midiworks wrote:Spiggy, sounds like GR to me...
