I´m not much of a dance music lover but decided to give it a shot and take part in the comp.
I used my first "real" track in EXT as I am learning now how to use it as a sequencer. This song was done this afternoon, so don`t expect anything brilliant
I was just having fun and stuff.
I will review the other songs tomorrow in a study break, but where do I post the reviews? Should I post them in this same thread? I will look around for the answer though.
Take care and good luck.

I am in this month, either of two totally different things depending on which gets finished on time.
The only one I have been able to listen to more than once so far is Multree's, which is an absolutely wonderful bit of grungy hipshaking music.
As to the rest, I am surprized and pleased that there have been so few run of the mill dance tracks.
This is gonna be fun!!

REVIEWS!!!
Lady J - Jump and Wind : This is one amazing choon!!! The drums sound pretty banal but the melodies, the vocals, the one note strings
... everything falls in place and makes this a unique, great dance song. Of course, there's a BUT... It sounds pretty much like a sound clip from a 6 minute song or whatever. It's definitely a fun song but it doesn't feel right. The songs in the contest may be short, but they should feel complete, and this one doesn't. Sorry...
jamesb - MooShoo : I'd really like to hear an extended version of this. Electric pianos and organs are always good. This is a very good and catchy instrumental for, I presume, slow dancing. When the synth bass with the ressonant saw wave comes in, that's the best part for me. Not necessarily because of the synth. To be honest, that's the one sound I'm not particularly fond of in this song. But I like where the song goes there. For some reason, it manages to make me feel nostalgic(although there's nothing to reminisce). Apart from the nostalgic aspect of it, it makes me visualize some kind of romance in a sci fi setting. Maybe the forbiden romance between Shagalok, the klingon and mashtuvyah, the sith. It's up to you to figure out which of these two is the male/female.
Wopelka - The Cave Hall Electro Menuet : Slightly odd at first but fascinating once you get into the spirit. Sounds like a ritual of some unknown tribe. Ixox Flute works really well for this. It's just lacking a few cliché chants in the background to really work. The strings are very impressive, by the way! How the hell did you manage to program them like that?
RichieBee - Dance to this : Your music always sounds very eighties. It's always irresistible for that very fact. But that doesn't matter. I'm here to talk about this song...
Well, the wind instrument(I'm not sure what it is, a sax? They all sound the same) sounds too loud. It's pretty obvious and it's unpleasantly distracting. Other than that, it's a great song. The vocals really add to it, and I love the little break at around 1:08. It sort of reminds me of the videogames I used to play a few years ago on my sega saturn and sega mega drive. That's always good. I often try to capture that feel in my music but I always fail.
Liquih - Tip Tap Stomp : I like how absolutely synthetic this sounds, yet at the same time makes me think of game show music played by those huge bands they always have. The main melody is pretty catchy and fun but unfortunately the rest of the sections of this song fail to keep my interest. Nice ideas, though. I have never heard this kind of extreme electro sound before, and I had to listen a few times just for the sake of it. Being exposed to new stuff is always good.
Armadillo - Panther : TARNCE?! Oh, dear! Beardedone will slash his wrists if he listens to this. Well, it's very well done but it's not my style at all. Good to see Vitamin D has competition, though...
Multree - You belong to me : This is the 2nd great song I hear from you that ends just when I'm really starting to enjoy myself. Do you do this on purpose?!
What can I say that I haven't said already for your other track? I really like the direction your music is taking... Oh, yeah, your voice... I always thought you were a good singer, but I never thought your voice could fit more energetic songs such as this. Fortunately, I was dead wrong. One problem, though... it hapened with Lady J and it's about to happen to you... Yes, the dreaded BUT - It's a very good song BUT... the mix may be good for pop, but for dance music, it all sounds too subdued. Otherwise, great effort.
Tristeza Orange - Bipolar Bear : This song has made me certain of the theory I had for some time now... you're the undisputed king of upbeat music. To me, all your songs suggest this fairy tale setting with all kinds of beautiful creatures, green landscapes, clear blue skies... and I always enjoy them. Even if you try to add weird, harsh drums to it, it all sounds just as pleasant. I could have done without the break with the horns at 0:51, to be honest, but other than that, pretty much perfect. One has to admit it's not exactly dance music, though... Kind of reminds me of Mike Paradinas's(Mu-Ziq's) mellower songs.
Damstraversaz - final pépé au bal : Another song that makes me think of videogames... Sounds a bit like the cover Mr. Bungle would do of some street fighter song. I almost always hate accordions(that IS an accordion, isn't it?) but this is one of the few cases I like it. That kind of melody is always fun. Not that it's something I'd listen to on a daily basis, but there's a sinister vibe to it(which I can't really explain) that keeps me listening to the end.
scuzzphut - screamer : I don't really have anything of substance to say... I'd love to see this extended to 10 minutes and played in a rave. It's a nearly perfect dance song. It's not perfect just because the ending is very anticlimatic, although I can understand why you'd do that, with the time limit and all...

damstraversaz/Pépé va au bal - Heh. Another impressive entry from damstraversaz. I'm enjoying the diversity of approaches to the theme this month. This one starts with a singing saw, so you're already way ahead. A wonderful, slightly shabby folk dance atmosphere here. Panned grunts as Pépé lurches drunkenly round the room. Has real charm. (You might want to fix up your id3 tag, it shows you as 'Unknown Artist'.)
scuzzphut/screamer - Nice choon. Maybe the first convincing 'banger' this month. Technically assured, so what can I whinge about? Hmm. Mild anticlimax at the end. And I don't think it has as much character as your other songs. "Aha," you say, "danceability's more important than character this month." "Sure," I'd say, "but can't you have both?" Then you'd say "It does have character. You're just looking at things from a non-dance perspective and can't see it." And I'd be all like "Yeah? Well, I'm rubber and you're glue!" And you'd say "That doesn't even make sense." And things would degenerate from there. Nice choon.
farlukar/batium - Great opening. Love the fuzzed up mix. The little solo bits at 0:47, 1:41, etc. tend to lose focus a little. Maybe underscore those bits with some subtle new percussive element to add emphasis and keep the energy from leaking away? And the repeat section feels like it could use just a tiny twist to differentiate it from the opening, maybe even swinging the main synth up an octave, who knows? But I'm quibbling. I like this one.
Hovmod/Last Farewell Tango - Ah fudge. I was thinking of doing a tango, so of course you have my everlasting hatred for beating me to it. Subdued, gentle approach here, a natural companion piece to your entry from last month.
It does have the lingering nostalgia suggested by the title, though the dance element here feels more a suggestion than an invitation, as though remembering some sad, final dance long gone. The strings that come in halfway through never quite tie into the rhythm, and there's an brittle introspective edge to the piano playing (and a slight harshness to the piano samples) that suggests some buried bitterness. A thoughtful entry, and not exactly where I was planning to go with mine, so maybe the tango's big enough for both of us.

Thanks a lot Katanaman and Barnadine for this very nice comments
I'm very happy you like this song. It's supposed to be funny ( whereas the second instance of Peti make a sinister vibe with IIb). I tried to realise a "Live popular ball emulation
) with some accoustic instruments and some inaccuracy ( pattern sound like Robot for this music).
Very interssting contest this month with very different approaches
(wusik always show or rename 04.07) sorry

Now that you've pointed out the cello it really annoys me how it's a bit off the beat.
The song just sort of just happened, so all the introspective bitterness must be in me, because it wasn't a conscious twist - I didn't edit the piano take at all.
The title was chosen after hearing the song, so I'm glad it sort of fits.
Thanks.
