Hello Again,

Really cool that you found most of what you needed in the help files, but the book I mentioned really is quite good actually. I also use fruity and Reason in Sonar, I think Fruity is amazing in Sonar, fruity is so solid.

Been with Sonar since 2.0XL and Fruity since 3.1 and had no real issues with the pair, both have great support and listen to their users before issuing updates.

Here is another link for the Book I recommended, going for a good price on Amazon.

i have cubase but i find that it hogs my computer very much, i got the sonar demo but finding it hard to navigate thru the program as its quite a bit different than cubase. Does anyone have a sample track or something that they made in sonar that they could post up, so i can see how different techniques take place in it? thanks.

I've been using Cakewalk since vs. 1, even found my origional disks the other day. :D

The last manual I read was Cakewalk 5. The manuals are decent for looking up information, but not really good for reading from beginning to end while learning the program and how to use a DAW. It does pay to have a book on how to use a DAW that is based on Sonar. I had been using Sonar Power until version 3. At that time I bought Sonar Power and Sonar Ignite. Though I had been a Sonar Power fan I found that Sonar Ignight was the better teacher. Sonar power is still a good reference, but then, the Sonar manual is a good reference. There is a difference between a referernce book and a teaching book.
