Getting back to the original topic, I would be interested if the people doing the heavy-metal tone would post a single low note, not a power chord, because sometimes they can be confused under the distortion. A power chord on a crappy Peavey might sound fatter than a single note on a Mesa Boogie for all I know (I only have the former).

1. everybody would crap it because of what's gone before.

2. it would be crapped.
I think you'll find that we're an objective (perhaps not the right word, but I can't think of another offhand) lot. If you posted a truly magnificent tone, we'd all much rather be able to replicate it than simply 'win a victory' by crapping on it. I'm sure I speak for almost all of us when I say that we care more about guitar tones than some whiny little tit. If the whiny little tit can show us how to get awesome tones, most of us would be fine with that.
Sometimes unpleasant messages come from unpleasant messengers.
What's this, your attempt to be "deep"? Try again, junior. You're just unpleasant, with no concept of why people are reacting the way they are.

hi again Daven... do you want it clean, crunch, overdriven, fuzz? I can make some samples later tonite...;)

Hey Hink, I don't mind, one of each would be great :D

I'm on a quest for the heaviest sound possible (as I'm sure many are...)

Also, the lower the tone is the richer - more harmonics in our hearing range - so low is good.

Post

you're in my time zone...I'll have something by the a.m....

Vamp2 is $99 in the US now.
I don't need it but it's so ridiculously low priced I will have to buy one now.
I GOT IT :D

I think it sounds horrible compare to Amplitube :(
I will return it to the store tomorrow.
I still need something portable for travel any other suggestions?

Post

Really? I find Amplitube fairly unusable.

The Behringer GDI21 is nice, battery-powerable, and portable. However, with no 'room simulator' (ie. reverb) on it, it can sound rather dry and scratchy directly into headphones.

Hm. That's what I thought... :P
I knew it was coming, too. [edit: ah, I see now, the clever type-switcharoo. ;)]

I wonder what other stuff mommy and daddy have bought for him that he doesn't know how to use...?

If you are correct and I am a 14 year-old bedroom guitarist with no clue then my clip would fit this thread well, non?

:hihi:

Nope; it was a vacuous little jokette.

Chill compadre.

A tad overzealous with the semicolon there; it doesn't belong in that sentence.

Hmmm...fun thread.

It sucks though, all of my main guitars are at my rehearsal space, so I can't really post anything for a bit...I get some nice sounds that I think everyone will hate.

A tad overzealous with the anal grammar-correction there; it doesn't belong in that thread.
