Well, I've heard people refer to bleepy lo-fi stuff as "casio-core".
Not as bad as calling the Pizzicato 5 "lounge-core".
Oh! How about "death-ambient"?

Yep, the entire metal genre has the silliest subdivisions ever.. death metal, black metal, grindcore, etc etc.

My music labelling starts and ends with 3 things

"sucks"
"doesnt suck, but eh"
"wonderful"

Well at least it's easy to tell most of those genres apart. Even somebody who isn't even into metal at all can easily hear some of the obvious differences between death and black metal.
What annoys me is people who invent all sorts of new genres and categories for music that any sane person would put in the same category.
