An endurance test for Live 5 beta... and for my paws. About time I played it back. *listens for just ages* Not very interesting but it does stress the machine pretty well.

Simon lives here in Montreal - very nice guy, and quite talented. You can thank David (Late) Tibet for reviving his career.
That song is his standard set closer these days. He also plays on the very soon to be released new C93 record, which from the single released at this year's Toronto shows, should be their best in many years.

Yes, that was rather nice of him.
Finn's music seems to fit right in with the Durtro stuff.

I love that song.

I've lost track of C93's stuff, I guess. What is it going to be like- with Finn in the line-up, I would guess something like The Starres Are Marching Sadly Home[1]?

Groet, Erik

[1] if I correctly remember what that sounded like.

The Brainwashed Brain has samples from the new single up in their issue from two or three weeks back. The forthcoming album, 'Black Ships Ate the Sky' features an all-star (sort of) cast of (Late)Tibet, Michael Cashmore, Steven Stapleton, Marc Almond, Rose MacDowall, Will 'Bonnie Prince Billy' Oldham, Simon Finn, Antony (of the Johnsons) and Ben Chasny (Six Organs of Admittance/Comets on Fire). The single starts out very pastoral in their usual way, but then turns into very violent noise psychedelia at the halfway point - very intense.
