It's been a while since hearing about the 2.1 update would available soon.

I cannot see anything on IK's website. Have I missed something, is the update not ready for release yet ?

It is not ready for release yet. Some time his Summer though. Miroslav Philharmonik is being released first. Gotta pay the bills. (ST2.1 is a free update).

Waiting for Miroslav, Studiophonik and CSR...and of course, the free 2.1 update...this is going to be a GREAT summer!

Before I consider any of the above, I'm going to have to get an external USB2 or FW hard drive for samples first - probably tomorrow

... my laptop HD is getting tight, and it's kinda slow to boot. I have 4GB of SS1/ST1/etc samples, 5GB of Wusik samples, and 3GB for Dimension. Add SS2 or ST2 to it and... (hmm, no icon for "overstuffed", so I guess
