very nice website. i love how you took pictures of the subjects you record. everything is well documented.
what do you think of the SP-TB2 binaurals? i got the high sensitivity, i think i could've done with low-sensitivity.

I got the previous model, I like them for their good output. But I don't find them nice to wear.
My OKM's however are nice to wear but have much lower output.
Life is always a compromise, isn't it?
But the beauty of the SP's is that they are so cheap, I can safely take the risk of taping them under the hood of my car, or put them on the road of a circuit...
I even had one installed in the cat liter box (the cat's own sh!t house)... Needless to say I will not be using that pair in my ears anymore

Two things got me thinking about this lately:
i got those recordings of beethovens 6-9 off the bbc website and i've been playing around with symph. choirs for the past few weeks. after hearing the bbc recordings, i've become terribly aware of the fact that a lot of demos i've heard lately on the northernsound site or soundsonline forums could be made far more real with the odd intermittent bit of background sounds. Nothing too fancy, but just enough to trick your mind into thinking that this was a real recording session with real people. With the S.choirs, I've been very conscious of the fact that these guys arent breathing - they're gonna die soon if i dont get them breathing
That only occured becuase of one part i was playing with that had a natural silence in it for a half second or so - great time for a breath.
Squids, if theres any way you could also pull something like that together, it would be just excellent.
thanks
steve

By the way, anyone has really cool field recordings of unique ambience or sound effects I might be interested in buying them off you. I am putting together a massive collection of these for esoundz. But, who knows if there is something in your part of the world (even a weird air conditioner or industrial park or cool tunnel or airport) that might be different than what we've been capturing.

Cool. This will be perfect for the upcoming "Interactive Cat Litter Box FX Capsule".MrM wrote:Will do so tomorrow!
Just kidding. I like to hear what creative samplists are able to capture out there in the real world.
