Numark is the worst company for music manufacturers imo...I'm judging that on returns when I was in retail and the horrible customer service I saw others go through as well as my own nightmare with them...techniques back in the day were known for their low end products, now they just have a stronghold on turntables but truth be known my Dual (brand name, not as in two) turntable I had in the 80's and 90's kicked their ass. Tracked at .7 of a gram ...compaq is my other pc...presario, sorry piece of junk....about radio shack cables, the only good thing is they are convient...the dont even use switchcraft connectors...Chase wrote:what!?!Hink wrote:Numark (or it's other companies)

numark makes good shit! I had a mixer that was put through a lot of use, and with multiple crossfader replacements is still great.
compaq makes ipaq!
panason owns technics!!!
all my cables are radioshack (im skint)
Pioneer use to rock, but have you checked them out lately?...it's one of the biggest disapointments...McLilith wrote:You said Pioneer?
I thought they made some decent stuff.
For me, I can think of these as being brands that I would be very highly unlikely to buy:
Creative
Kurzweil
Radio Shack (except for perhaps the MG-1 synth, which was actually built by Moog)
Sony
Ferrari
Erm... That last one, isn't on the list by choice. It's more a matter of financial circumstance.
take care,

Don't they still make decent car stereos and car speakers at least?Hink wrote:Pioneer use to rock, but have you checked them out lately?...it's one of the biggest disapointments...
I dont know about their car stereos...but I'd say middle of the road at best...tbh listening to music while driving over the last couple of years has become too distractive...music takes my concentration away from everything by nature....oddly this only manifested itself since about 99 (almost got myself killed dazed off listening to a song)...since then it just gets worse...McLilith wrote:Don't they still make decent car stereos and car speakers at least?Hink wrote:Pioneer use to rock, but have you checked them out lately?...it's one of the biggest disapointments...
From what I can tell, almost all the home "surround sound" systems are crap. Is that what you are judging them by?
I have to admit, most of my personal experience with Pioneer was from the 80's. A company can change a lot in that amount of time.
