awww f**k man...i never got asked to do presets for this!? !?!?!?!?!??!
hehe, it's coz i'm an alchaholic isn't it paul.
or is it coz i'm up to my balls in work?
Good luck with this dude! The basses that came with manystation have been my permanent "GO-TO" bass sound since i got it....I don't think my brain could handle another set of the same quality.
peace!

But what to get. I have Wusikstation but wonder if it might be better to opt for the soundfont. What are good reasons for choosing the soundfont version? I am a bit worried about getting tied into the WS format at the moment.
I could have written your post. Personally, I've decided to go with soundfont format for no reason other than that I have tons of SFs, and no plans to ditch my sfz+ (with giga) anytime soon. Haven't really done a lot with Wusikstation, and in light of recent events, was ready to convert what few native samples I had to SF (with ESC). I've held off on that for the time being, but I'll likely do it because realistically, sfz+ is my "go-to" synth and I'm just too lazy to bother with WS anymore.

Well the ManyStation / Wusik Version has more hours of work put into it in terms of all the presets that come with that package. We will be fully supporting this format as all the sounds in the ManyStation / Wusik format will also open in our new upcoming VSTi which is Not built by Wusik. (All Our Samplesets but not the Presets will load into this New VSTi ... more details on it very soon but i will say it is being designed for this style of Soundsets)kovacs wrote:Ah, uhm, this is sooo tempting. So if you have the ManyStation version ... They will load in this upcoming Product.
Myself and Greg and Simon all agree that the sounds are more usable in terms of Sound design and preset possibilities in ManyStation than in most SF2 players, and with over 50 presets including Splits (This is sets that are split on the keys to make playing live or sequencing easier and more realistic sounding) and Further Layering of the sounds in velocity layers through ManyStation GUI. Some sets are already velocity layered as they come but we can go further in MStation.
Either way you go though the set is a Great Buy!
Hope this answers your Questions.

Er...what does the "ManyStation version" refer to? I have Wusikstation 1 and prepaid for the 1.2 (and apparently a lot of cooler versions, but never mind that).manytone wrote:So if you have the ManyStation version ... They will load in this upcoming Product.
Are you saying I need to get ManyStation as well?
Sorry if I am confusing the terms here.

As for which version of UBK to get, for only $5 more you get both the wusikSND and soundfont versions – seems like a small price to pay for putting your mind at ease.
It’s still a steal.

Hi
You can use UBK in any Wusik Engine product including WusikStation ,ManyStation and the VSTi versions of TSW and Vox'd. They will all load the presets. You don't need to buy ManyStation yourself, but you might like it as it has Top Sounds in it too

Paul, I want to get ManyStation but I am trying to limit my purchase of new plugins to those than can be run on both PC and Mac. Since I already own Wusik I think I'll stay with that...cash isn't flourishing around me these days, sadly.manytone wrote:You don't need to buy ManyStation but you might like it as it has Top Sounds in it too

@Yossarian - thanks, it seems that will be my best option, yes..

Not True at all.
Wusik would not custom code for us (or anybody as I understand it).
So we Have another Developer doing a project with us.
Please do not imply that we are not supporting our own ManyStation.
ManyStation is, and still will be our Flagship product.
This new VSTi will cost less and will not be our Big Product so to speak. And it makes sure that all Manytone's eggs are not in One Basket.

Ah - interesting Paul.
** EDIT **
I think I'm getting the idea of what you're saying here.
Well - I'm looking forward to hear about the new product and what tricks the provided engine is going to have in store for us.
Didn't mean to imply that you were going to drop support for existing ManyStation customers. It wasn't my intention in creating that post. I was trying to express something totally different.

Edited but i'll say this
It's just a different specialized VSTi ... NOT a replacement to what we have now. I will post details soon. As i say in my sig...
It's about the Tone!
I can say this ... It will highly benifit the "Tone" of our Guitars and Basses

Yep - got it. It's going to be a hell of a day if the cogs are turning so slowly at this time of the morning.
