quick Project 5 V2 question and advice on RME Soundcards

Hi folks
1) In the Groove Matrix in project 5 V2, the default settings for an audio loop are 'Play Now' and 'One shot only'. I would like the default to be the same as for patterns i.e 'play in time with song' and 'play continously'. Te manual says you can change the defaults, but it doesn't say how. Does anybody know? and, please don't tell me to right click and change the settings. That's what I'm doing and it's a right royal PITA when you're loading lots of loops at once to try out ideas.
2) I'm thinking of getting an RME HDSP9632 soundcard. Does anyone here use RME soundcards? If so, would you advise me to get one?
Thanks as always

i asked lot's of people about the RME HDSP9632 - i always got totaly positive response about this card. But i wont buy it cause it has only 2 analoge I/O s
- i would need to buy two expansion boards (each 169 Euro) for the amount of I/Os I need The total cost would be 740 Euro. So i decided to buy an M-Audio 1010 with 10 I/Os for 400 euro (incl breakoutbox )

thanks for the response. I only use MIDI as I play the keyboards, so I don't need to record any audio.
So I'm looking at the RME from the point of view of its sound processing. I'm happy to pay around GBP350 to get a good quality sound. Does anyone have any feedback on this aspect of the RME?
Thanks again

The advantage of RME (as far as I know) is stable drivers and it's d/a a/d convertors. If you're not converting any signal, then maybe RME is overboard. The soundcard shouldn't make any difference in sound quality for internal mixdowns. Other audio card manufacturers make sound cards that have good quality (for monitoring) and good drivers. Echo Audio comes to mind. Maybe Edirol, m-audio and others. I don't think you need a RME in order to create a decent monitoring environment, the manufacturers I mentioned above and others will likely be more than good enough.

RME have a great reputation but for the love of god make sure you have TI firewire and PCMCIA chipsets.
