Current D-Pole equivalent

It looks like finding a copy of Waldorf (Steinberg) D-Pole VST is essentially impossible, so I'm wondering if anyone who is familiar with it could suggest other current VSTs that essentially do what this one is supposed to do (lots of positive comments around Internet, but I've never heard it in action). Unless, of course, someone here has a copy to part with. Like I need yet another plug-in.

Quad Frohmage. Has delay (no feedback though) 4x ring modulation, distortion, and of course 4x filters.

I don't know if anything has the exact feature list, but QuadFrohmage, Filterscape, More Feedback Machine, Ronin, OhmBoyz, Obertone Filterbank, are all as good as or better alternatives. Lots others I haven't mentioned
The Obertone one is free, has two filters and a delay. Get it first and work your way outward. More Feedback Machine also free, quite good.

Fabfilter Volcano and Frantic excel in certain areas besides those already mentioned. I'd drop the delay 'need' and would check out Volcano. Combine that with a good delay, perhaps Ronin, it's excellent sounding. That would be a killer combo

Hi eduardo,
You should check out our CamelPhat effect. It covers most of the areas that dpole did - 3 kinds of distortion, enhancer, filter - w. ring mod, comb filter, etc, compressor, 2 lfos, etc. If you want delay and a bunch of other cool stuff, you could also get CamelSpace. Click on the links in my sig for more details.

Okay, I've downloaded it and some presets to play with. Not going to be able to afford all the VSTs suggested here, and it looks like everyone has their own favorites. Almost too much to choose from.csl wrote:Quad Frohmage. Has delay (no feedback though) 4x ring modulation, distortion, and of course 4x filters.

I don't think I've seen any of these before, so this is either good (new things to try) or bad (which one to buy). Thanks for the links.atomic_afro wrote:Demo these out, and see if one of these fits the bill:

I saw three VSTs, and thought Filterbank is probably the one you're referring to -- I don't have enough expeience to be sure. Thanks.shamann wrote:I don't know if anything has the exact feature list, but QuadFrohmage, Filterscape, More Feedback Machine, Ronin, OhmBoyz, Obertone Filterbank, are all as good as or better alternatives. I already have Cameleon 5000, and you guys sent an info e-mail on the other two -- which I never got around to checking out. I'll go over to the site and look at them.Ben [Camel Audio] wrote:Hi eduardo,
