I'll try and find these. If I don't, I'll be back to ask for help.jmh wrote:Fabfilter Volcano and Frantic excel in certain areas besides those already mentioned. I'd drop the delay 'need' and would check out Volcano. Combine that with a good delay, perhaps Ronin, it's excellent sounding. That would be a killer combo :)

But other than the LFO, there's nothing really worth trying to hunt down a copy -- somewhere, somehow?luCiPHer wrote:i recently rediscovered my d-pole...
it's nice, but almost everything you can do with it, can be done better with the mentioned plugins, it's age is a fact.
but the lfo which can be set to INSANELY fast values is still unique.

Got Fabfilter but didn't see Filterscape, so I'm assuming this is somewhere else...or? Not going to get any work done at this rate.flex42 wrote:best sounding filter: fabfilter volcano

Apart from the insanely fast LFO, there's also the insanely loud, filthy, offensive distortion, which sounds beautifully horrible with said LFO.

works quite welll with an ultrafast lfo goiing on as well
so for extreme stuff like that d-pole is still great, but for more classic filtering the more recent plugins are usually better.

Actually, I managed to download and try all of the ones recommended and found them all to have good qualities. Free, of course, is always nice, and I find it particularly interesting that this small plug-in is a sonic equivalent to D-Pole. Thanks for the links.vista wrote:the one and only worthy FREE equal plug to D-pole:
