Well,I did plan to buy M Audio Audiophile 192 or 24/96(or maybe emu 0404) so I'll try Pro Tools Le M powered.I heard it's not as good as new versions of Cubase sx,Sonar, and Logic. My friend has digi 002 and he's using Nuendo 2 and not the Pro Tools software-he says that midi editor on Pro Tools is not so well.I don't have any external gear so I'll work mostly with vst's.So,I believe that midi editing and cpu usage is the most important things in sequencer. What is the difference beetween high end Pro Tools that is available with Core systems and the Pro Tools Le available on digi 002 and M Audio cards?

But that's not as good as Live 5 with a nice chilly beer.headquest wrote:I've found that this host is nowhere near as good as...JohnVulich wrote:

I just switched from Nuendo/Cubase to Tracktion. I'm finally getting work done!
Demo'd Sonar after using Tracktion -- there is just no match for the Tracktion workflow.

Sonar from my limited experience was overly complicated to do some simple stuff. I guess any sequencer that forces you to have both an audio and midi track for softsynths will never be to my taste. It sure is powerful though.jplanet wrote:I just switched from Nuendo/Cubase to Tracktion. I'm finally getting work done!

Cubase version 3.0
No dicking around with audio, nice monochrome GUI and fantastic midi. It came with a very reliable computer as well (mine had as much as 4MB RAM, and I think the CPU went at about 33rpm
). Then everything went to pot....
