It will be cooler if they actually make it legible. It seems a litte fuzzy right now. I am sure that this is the least of their concerns. And, yes, it is feeling very stable ATM. There still are a few issues popping up, but this is going to rock.

Too much fun really.

As y'all know, I'm rather attached to black and white. =^_^= But I'm with braj on this. Will keep a green-on-black icon and install that in my "Start" menu. The bright color will make it show up better where it sits between to Sonar (gray) and GURU (black/white).

The desktop crash-log icon is very pretty! :-D I must crash it more often.

i like black & white for some reason. green felt a bit cheesy, white on black reminds me of german engineering - somewhat boring but definitely trustworthy

i'm starting to like live a lot now that the roughest corners are smoothened from v5... even more fun than v4 composition-wise.

here's me from two days ago, having fun with a rap acapella, simplers, impulses, a dahornet and a bunch of beat repeats:

... is it just me or is the live 5 splash screen f**king awful (id have gone with the outstretched hand from the website myself) ???

When I upgraded from Live 2 to Live 4 I really didn't like the black/green icon! I wanted the white/green one back

Over time the Live 4 icon has grown on me.

I suspect the black/white Live 5 icon will grow on me in the same way.

One thing though - it seems smaller than the Live 4 icon on my screen - is this the same for everyone?

Live 5 is so stunningly good, so utterly awesome - that all we can discuss now is the desktop icon

It's not that bad Rob...

...but I like your idea of the hand motif. That may well have been better

I just noticed something interesting. When you get a crash log on your desktop, the icon is now very different from either the LIVE4 icon, or the LIVE5 black and white icon. It looks like the splash screen. I believe that this may actually be the icon that will be used in the future. It actually looks pretty cool.

Probably we will see that in the next beta or whatnot.
