Hi folks,

it seems as some of you do use stylophone instaed of just trying to get a bit of sound from this plug, as I do.
I already tried to copy dat file to windows folder or keep it in vst folder and both. but none worked for me.
all I get is a crack.

Who of you knows the magic trick to make it sound ??

Host program is ableton LIVE
windows XP
amd athlon 2200+

I'm with you; never been able to get anything out of it. I guess it's an april fools kinda plugin.

As wrote dr.founkstai : "stylophone.dat must be in c:\windows, the path iz hardcoded in the dll.
it don't work in the host that are calling process() and not processReplacing() because it only implement processReplacing()

the .dat contains the raw samplez that are looped and played, there are no parameter to change the sound.
and it is the same midi implementation as steinberg vstxsynth example,"

I used to have Stylophone VSTi installed. It worked for me. Had a fairly good selection of presets, all of which sounded exactly the same of course (vibrato didn't function). Its timbre and range are beyond compare, unless you record one of those greeting cards that has a sound chip inside.

Sure did look authentic though.

I finally got it to work a few weeks ago with the help of some KVR-ians. I run Win2000 so I dont have a folder called 'Windows'. I created a 'dummy' folder called 'Windows' and installed it there and into the vst-folder and i finally got some sound out of it. But it still has a nasty 'crackle' when played so its really not useable for me

if you throw it through some ohmboys/other fsu fx it sounds fookin mahvelous
without it sounds like a stylophone
