Hi there!
I'm considering buying the R66 but was wondering about the company themselves. For those of you that own it, have there ever been any support issues? How would you rate "Sonic Flavours" as a company?

I've been demo'ing this a lot lately. Most of the presets sound absolute crap. But there is one that shows the real potential of this reverb to do amazing Lexicon-ish stuff. This reverb is let down by the GUI - it's got to be the worst in the history of bad VST GUI's. Just to navigate a preset is a chore. And to shorten the decay time of a preset turns the whole reverb into a mess. Has enormous potential to sound spectacular - and maybe you have the patience, but I don't. I hope they address these issues, because there is gold in there ...

I agree that the presets aren't the greatest, and yes I have been working with it alot. That said, I've been able to get the sound I've been wanting, with some work. I've also been able to really screw it up pretty bad with less effort. What's with the pitching sound when moving a knob? I was a little put off by the GUI but once I read the manual and understood what everything does, it doesn't bother me anymore.
I like using in in conjunction with the Princeton 2016. I'll use the 2016 to put some "air" around a vocal then add the R66 for "lushness".
I was kind of hopeing to get feedback on the company. How do they treat their customers?

Wow, goes to show how varied people's tastes are. WTF is wrong with the GUI? I think it looks nice, and the layout is perfect... simple, clear, organized. As far as the sound of this thing, it impressed me far other than the other software reverbs I've tried. The presets just happen to be suited to my musical style as well, but if they're not for you, the design and layout of R66 makes programming easy so make your own.greendoor wrote:I've been demo'ing this a lot lately. R66 is definitely on my list of plugins to buy.
