What kind of effects? Doubling? Echo? EQ?ketillien wrote:I`m looking for a great plugin for putting some exciting effects on my vocals
Sonalksis has an analog style EQ that does a great job of bringing things forward in the mix (including vocals). Also, try Tritone Hydratone for that.
Here is my small version:

If you are looking for free plugins then the classic pack for the eq and compressor, and glaceverb for reverb. Very good options for free.

Good mic against a blanketed baffle -> great preamp -> UAD-1 LA2a -> UAD-1 Plate 140. Maybe a high pass around 60. Done.
Coffee and Zeppelin optional.
Exciters are garbage, if that's what you are talking about. Good condenser mics usually have that sparkle in the high end you're searching for.

true, true, true...but we are talking project musicians here often, with a studio in their bedroom...good condesnsers also are fragile as hell, cost a lot and may pick up too much depending on the enviroment.Good condenser mics usually have that sparkle in the high end you're searching for.
But I agree, an exciter on vox...no thnak you...voxformer is not an exciter by my def...but a cool compressor for vox. It really does bring the vox to life quite well...but I would suggest a medium grade condenser unless he has a really good room...
