Hi folks,

I want to buy Reaktor 5, and I'm a student so I qualify for an academic version. In the States there are a number of places selling them, but I can't find any in the UK.

Are there any that you people know of? Thanks.

i went to my local music store and got them to order it for me. i was really confused about it at first too, but it's really easy - just requires a little patience for it to arrive!

just pop into a store and take your certificate/letter etc.. proving that you're a student, and they'll call arbiter (NI's UK distributer) and order in a copy. you'll have to wait a week or two for it to come in, but it's definitely worth it for the discount you get.

See, I asked the fucktards at Digital Village, and they basically told me "bollocks, we don't do academic stuff you little weasel" - barstools!!

well the store i went to was a sound control, but i also went in a few others to find out if they had it first, and every one of them offered to order it in for me. just try a few stores that sell NI software, and ask them to order it in for you. if the person you're speaking to seems a bit simple then ask to speak to someone else who can call arbiter while you're there. not sure which other stores may be near you tho!

I got mine through Thomann. Just faxed them my certificate of employment. Had to wait - but no other hardships...
