This turned out to be the result of a pattern pasted into Manytone from another VST. What had been an edit in the cutoff of Eve One became an edit on velocity in the zones section of Manytone. Something to remember -- that edits like this can have unintended consequences when they're pasted into another VST.
Thanks to Paul for his timely help.
Sounds great, by the way.

MOD EDIT: Here is the original post below ... The problem was caused by Automation data recorded in the host not by anything wrong with UBK.

(After just a little messing around, I'm getting a lot of notes dropping out in Orion Platinum. Haven't had a problem yet with Sonar 3.
I'll paste a row of patterns in and start moving from one to the other, and after a while the patterns either go out all together or play only a couple of notes. Insert a new Manystation, paste in the patterns, and the same thing happens.)

I would say puzzling yes
I use UBK and ManyStation in Orion mainly ...in fact am doing so right now with No problems.
Email me the basic song file if you wish but it sounds like a config problem with Orion or Something rather than a problem with UBK.
Paul

EDIT: Problem fixed
