Eeep! Thanks for the heads up. Guess I'd better grab the latest download before the herd thunders through... *jumps to it to avoid the stampede*
Ah, good -- download server's still nice and snappy.
*uninstalls 15* *installs 16* Whee all over again...
Raw: Naaah, that's not how cooking works. Try grabbing a halfway-ready loaf of bread out of the oven some day. [Kids: Don't Try This At Home! ;-) ]

This is release candidate 1, which means we could be really close to a final release. I'm stoked about Live's public beta program and the speed at which bugs get squished.

I'm afraid if I try it, I'll buy it. I've wanted Live for a long time but can't really fit it into the budget yet....I must resist!

Losing track here... Is Release candidate 1 different from beta 16? I got the impression its the same (from the latest list of bugs squished)... but that bugs reports have slowed down to a crawl so they decided to put it out to the public... can anyone confirm?

Beta 16 is release candidate 1. RC's are declared when they think a certain beta build could be the Gold Master. If testing goes well, it could be the final release build, though it's typical to have a couple RC's before accepting one as the GM.

No actually.........I have lite lite 4.14 (blaaaakc.........pwteeewweeeee.......ick) but was hoping for something inspiring in 5..........headquest wrote:How so? (Weren't you already on the bandwaggon?)
Ok......freeze is a no-brainer
It seems better at making parts and putting together......although I'm not a live expert
but here's the biggy and this was a yuk in all versions I used of 4........CPU is good to go in 5!
24/96 with bfd/keyrig/wusik.........got it to go up to about 20 (that's really running things) and that is without the freeze
