Tempted to go get the fever myself...but waaay too much other stuff going on to get all hosty toasty right now. Let us know if L5 is really it this time. Or if L6 is the one to wait for...

24/96 bfd/keyrig/wusik and easy loopin' editing at about 10 percent cpu....holly cow!

No kidding, I was dying for Freeze for so long, but now Live5 is so much more efficient I haven't frozen a track except to test the feature. Really, really nice.

without freeze.........so far about 22 is as high as I can go............

4000+ amd
2 gigs ram

Yea, it's a hot rod.........but it's running better than protools same spec..........

REMEMBER.......live was a cpu hog at one time........so this is good news

As a matter of fact, I can't sleep...........tried to lay down but kept having visions of LIVE 5 dancing in my head......

So here I am.....playing away.

I have to tell myself....."only if it's this much fun in a week" will I buy it........

How much was your comp?, as I'm deliberating as to if I should get a new one.

I've heard good things about the 4000+ amd, but I used to have an amd and didn't like it, so I got a P4.

It's either a realy good PC or go the whole hog and get the latest G5.

DO NOT..........REPEAT........DON'T get the g5

Long story, but the g5 2.7 dual did not perform as well as this one with the same plugs/host.

It'll run ya about 800usd for the chip, mobo, and power supply........I
