hi
i have been messing about, and i have found something that i didn't notice before for some reason: the off position for the sequencer notes is not actually off. it plays a note in some low c note. If that could be fixed i would love it.
cheers.

We actually did raytrace a nice 3D-Model of the TB-303.
Would that be something for the new GUI? :hihi:

OK, I was joking. Because we cannot use that 3D Model for some reasons (Rolandus would kick us their big p**** into our small a** ...).

And we want not a clone of a battery driven plastic Bontempi synthesizer.

But those 303-dudes would be surely intrigued with that look ... And probably suddenly it would indeed sound like to original because of that. :hihi:

By the way: Did you guys actually download our latest smash hit "Detunator" VST effect ?

It makes powerfull FAT UNISONO synthesizer out of your thiny sounding analog equipment ... :hihi:

thin original: http://test.dizainer.net/analog_thin.mp3
fattened: http://test.dizainer.net/analog_fat.mp3

J&H Detunator
MIDI enabled Multi Stage Pitch Shifter (Uniclono Effect).

(Explaination: That effect is actually a result of this thread: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=94668
It proves, that an Unisono effect is not really reproduceble with an effect afterwards, because Unisono is actually a (multiple) process and not an effect. Althought, such an effect may be usefull and interesting sounding in some situations.
Detuntor can be applied to any kind of audio. The common problem lies (natually for pitch shifters) in remaining the transients on high detuning amounts.)

The Detunator was just updated to fix two bugs. Auto input dectection to suspend on silent input is currently disabled.

[edit]
Audio Input Detection Switch (Auto Suspender) does now work again.

Redownload, if you grabbed it before.

Hi Jackle,

very nice audio-demo. Wanna some feedback?

I will also try to find another bug in beta 2 of creakbox, hope that will help to force a beta 3-release

I'll do the GUI if it's actually going to move forward, I tried to post in the Creakbox section at your forums but it is locked.
I cant be bothered with this up one minute down the next stuff though.
If the project is moving forward i will happily help with the GUI beta testing and patterns and presets.

I love messing around with this version and have had it a while now, I like the badboy extension but the seq needs updating and the GUI is foul.
It would also be nice if the pattern were to be triggered by a MIDI key or start from the beginning of the next bar.

Likke i said any help you want from me is yours but only if it is a stable project.

Detunator is excellent. Thanks for sharing it and your pitch and formant shifters. I quite enjoy working with Omnivox.

Cheers,

NAS: Thank you very much!

But maybe there is a little misunderstanding here.

I did say (in an other thread):

If I get the CreakBox Beta2 code compiled again - (due to the fact, that we considered the beta2 as discontinued, we changed many of our dependency libraries and code, so that it don't compile anymore...) - then we will release it as Beta3 and try to fix all the (till now) found bugs.

But currently there are really some difficulties (it don't run stable anymore for the reasons above). We cannot apply wildly changes to our libraries, because of the fact that there are MANY other *working* projects directly dependant from that code. So we have to find the problem inside CreakBox and that is difficult (and time intensive) now - we are completely out of the workflow with that project ...

It was not planned to do a new GUI for the CreakBox by us. Only fixing the broken patch change and some minor other things to make it still usable.

(As you may know, there is merely 44100 Hz sample rate support with the CB, because of some important parts of bioroids original processing kernel)

Hi Steve.
Thank you!

Can you please say me, whether OmniVox has the same crackle problem?

Because it is strange. We probably used the same code for the Auto Input Switch (Auto Suspender) in OmniVox.

But merely in Detunator was the crackling discovered (now fixed).

Is there sometimes Crackling with OmniVox? I mean really crackles at begin or end of the processed audio (between the silence), not inside the Audio (which may be pitch scaling artifarkts at current state).

yes!

it sounds different.

also i find this one quite easy to program compared to a normal 303/abl etc...

not checked it out fully but if it had a couple of different working modes

* pattern change via note
* transpose pattern via note (exists already)
* internally sequenced song mode
* externally sequenced notes (like ABL)

then it'd be quadruply-great!

keep up the good work...
j.

ps is it based on freebee/lush engine or was that something else?

very good impersination but will never compare to this sorry. http://free.atlist.net/dazzer/ but beats phoscyon???

I've never had crackling problems with Omnivox. I'll try it out tonight once I'm at home to see if I've missed something. I've only noticed occasionally where non-pitched sounds, like sibilance on vocals, don't detect and so are slightly louder (sound like one voice doubled in volume instead of two), but that's the limitations of pitch detection we have to live with and just requires some mixing effort (which is fun to do anyway).
