Anyone using Scarbee VKFX with other E-pianos like Mr Ray?

VKFX is still on sale the last day for $160. It has a bunch of amps and effects made for EPs and presets as well. Anyone tried this plug-in? I use Mr Ray, Mr Tramp, Ticky Clav, etc, and was wondering how these would sound through VKFX. I have the free Effectizer, but it is not really the same thing.

Try the demo? I have to say I was very impressed by the sound of Mr Ray 73 through the VKFX.
Music with dinner is an insult both to the cook and the violinist.

i love the vkfx - mind you i'm using it pretty much only with scarbee keyboard sample libs at the moment, however this plugin is really more like getting 8 really nice processors... you could use lots of marketing about 'vintage warmth and authenticity', and i 'feel' it with this plugin very much, but that's so subjective, I wouldn't want to say you'd feel the same way.

I have a bunch of presets i've made for VKFX - in one i've matched at about 99% perfectly my Mu-Tron III. I'll try to upload them over the weekend

sadly overlooked plugin, it's just great...has some nice presets for guitars, basses, vocals and synths as well by the way

Damn, I didn't even realize there was a demo...I will try it as soon as I get home. Thanks for the heads up griels!

Give it a try. It's pretty excellent. Also... the $160 bit is a little misleading... you get a $25 gift certificate for signing up with the website the first time you purchase.

So, you can actually get it for $135.

Great price!

I tried it out with a bunch of things, including Elektrik Piano. I turned down the built in chorus and reverb in Elektrik and tried Scarbee instead. Excellent results.

Also very very nice results with MTron.

I missed that deal...got it awhile ago, I'm completely in love with it. I use it on all types of things, highly recomended. :hihi:

Not $160... $135!!! (160 - 25 gift certificate when you register to the site)

Even more incentive to check it out!

I pulled the trigger on $135. This is too nice a package to pass up at that price. Tons of great presets and it gives Mr Ray that bark and/or sparkle that I am looking for.

I haven't gotten my boxed version yet...just playing with the demo, but I don't think the VKFX has a dongle. It says you can install it on up to 3 PCs per the license agreement. So, I guess it can't have a dongle!

Post

vkfx has no dongle, the Vintage Keyboard Collection (HALion Player) is Scarbee's only product using a dongle....i just got mine and it's FANTASTIC, mind you I already use a cubase dongle, so i just loaded the license onto there

also the vintage keyboard collection is the only way to get the AWESOME Hohner Clavinet & Pianet libraries, they apparently aren't gonna be released outside of the HALion player

anyway don't mean to sound like a shill for scarbee but like I said I just got mine, the shipping was crazy fast, and i'm all lovey-dovey with it at the moment
