OK insects dance too. I have seen many a mayfly cavort over a trout stream. Mayflies perform a dance during mating and following dense hatches and ideal conditions, in breathtaking numbers. A mayfly spinner fall on a trout stream is a truly sublime and unforgettably beautiful scene. I can relate to that choreography. So please keep lands and waters free of pesticides, fungicides and fertilizers.
Dance to this. Wings optional.
FLStudio for sequencing and arrangment.
Cameleon5000 X2 for the leads lines,
WuskStation 1 for the chord accompaniment, DK= for the drums (Hey I can turn it on and off and change grooves too
)
Effects Camelspace, Elemental Audio Systems Neodynium
, Glaceverb
Edited, downsampled and encoded in Adobe Audition
Mastered with SonitusFX Multiband Compressor.
Spinner Fall
Cheers,
Gordon

Well, here we go.
This is a sketch for part of a (don't laugh) ballet that I am always just about going to get around to finishing one of these days. I have written an overture, but that is all. Too busy making loops and pop songs and what not. So this might jump start me to finish it.
If this sketch becomes part of the finished work, it will be part of the second half of the ballet.
The title comes from the fact that my wife recently bought some frogs, who are sometimes very vocal. Whenever I played this on my monitors, they started complaining.
And so the name of my entry this month is: Frogs Don't Dance.
I can't list all of the plugins used as there were so damn many. But special thanks to papelmedia for their wonderful choir soundfont.

Per-canta que me amuraste, en lo mejor de mi vida
Dejándome el alma herida y espinas en el corazón
------------------
Vibrer et vivre, à même la musique
Mordre dans la symphonie
A coups de corps en harmonie,
Talons aiguilles et cuirs noirs qui scintillent
Dans une lumière tango,
Regards indigos
Deux temps pour s'étreindre,
Deux corps pour se plaindre
D'une passion douloureuse,
To vibrate and live close to music,
To bite in the symphony,
With your body in harmony,
Stiletto heels and black leathers which scintillate
In a light tango, eyes indigos,
Two beat for fell each other body,
Two bodies to complain
About a painful passion.

I'm in. I didn't try to get clever with the dance theme; I went the obvious route... but I tried for days and kept getting happy Abba-sounding tunes.
So, finally I settled on something darker...

I think most of the music I write is arguably dance music, although it doesn't neatly fit within typical dance genres. I used the theme as a point of reference for the story of someone off his meds.
Feedback and Oscillate (Recursion Mix)
Lyrics and Stuff
I used lots and lots of effects especially the new Pattern Gate in the latest MOTU DP upgrade, Pluggo, EAS Finis, Camel 5000, BuzZer2 and Live. I think a bit of Kool & The Gang is in there too.

I can't dance. So I wanna do something else...
...like my FIRST vocal track...EVER!
What I Want To Do
The lyrics are pretty bonkers. Just needed something to sing, really. And the people who are gonna dance to this will be the drunk folks over at the bar.
Edit: Song written in Live 4 using Reaktor 5 for drums, Ernie Ball Music Man for guitar (duh), VintageWarmer, diverse FX and EQ here and there.
WHAT I WANT TO DO
I drop out of school
Act like a fool
I need a romance
don't have a chance
I drive in my car
I never go far
My head is a mess
It cannot be stress
All I wanna do... ./.
Is play my guitar
They come up and say
"do I wanna play?"
while they get to dance
I say, "fat chance!"
I kick and scream
but it's only a dream
It's not about you
It's what I wanna do
All I wanna do ./.

It started off as a tango. Probably still is. A melodramatic, quasi-operatic dose of hogwash:
A Man of Grace
(Lyrics)
Inspired by those dapper, creepy old gents who live for the tango.
Was going to be an instrumental, then words came, then the story started taking over from the dance. But you've gotta go where these things take you.
You might not hate it.
(Apologies to Hovmod and Ixox for riding on their tango coat-tails.)

Here some more.
Hope you enjoy it a bit.
Anyway, thanks for listening.

Also hope it stays there till the problems with my provider are gone. I know it does not always work but I have no other place for it for the moment. Any suggestion is welcome.
