Since upgrading to Abs3 I note that in my vst folder for Absynth 3 I've got -
Absynth 3
Absynth 3 FX
Absynth 3 FX 28
Absynth 3 Surround
Absynth 3 Synth 28
Can anyone shed light on what the difference is between Absynth 3 and Absynth 3 Synth 28 is??
Thanks
Pete

The Absynth 3 .dll is there for compatability with pre-3.02 update A3 projects. Some hosts were freaking out over the 3.02 .dll with A3 projects during testing, so they put in a backwards compatible .dll.

thanks Eric.
I've had no problems with Abs3 and Tracktion2 so I guess I can just ignore Absynth 3 Synth 28 (not a very intuative label tho is it ??)
cheers

Depends on how you're using it. The 28.dll will always give you eight outputs if you want them. This way, you can have your surround .dll configured for a 5.1 system and use the 28.dll for more of a quasi vector thing or panning between output channels with different effects as inserts
