I recommend kjaerhus classic reverb. it has very flexible response times and sounds great anyway.

I wanted to point out that there are people from other countries where english is not the primary language (yes, this exits, really). It is no matter of tolerance if people do not understand everey english dialect. I wonder what you would say if we'd continue speaking in my native language dialect.
It would be a matter of tolerance, if people at an international forum wrote a way everybody in every country can understand.

yea i know my post was a bit harsh, but i deal with it every day at school. I see uptight suburban kids give the more cultural, urban kids shit because of their dialect. It's not intolerance to not understand, but it is intolerance to ridicule.

I think if this really was a dialect it would be another issue, but the post wasn't in a dialect, it just used all sorts of cutesy-pie, humorous abbreviations like "der" instead of there and "wot" instead of what. That warrants ball-busting in my book. (especially since I've seen coherent posts from markroom before).

I did. It's really not, not in the sense that someone was raised pronouncing and spelling things this way. It's text-message cutesy, if there's a name for it.

Bottom line is - you would not be speaking like 'that' once you had moved on from having zit's and all.

I would be embarassed to hear a 45 year old speaking to their children using such a vernacular.

I know that I dropped most of my 'street lingo' some years ago - it's part and parcel of youth culture - blimey; perhaps it's a minor surfing while mum and dad are out?

look for the "dry" or "dry/wet" knob on your favorite reverb. it controls how much you hear between the main sound and the reverb sound.

completely free: SIR plus impulses from noisevault

more flexible and ultra low latency: voengo pristine space (light) plus (optionally) impulse modeler (in which you can create your own spaces and the resulting impulses)

high-end (but imo not so much better): wizoo W2

for alorithmic reverbs: the arts acoustic is quite convincing, but, as mentioned above, also other reverbs can sound smooth when you use the internal eqs/high damping (if it is impülemented). Good sounding ones are: ambience (free and it has an included gate), Glaceverb (unique approach and interesting, good sound). budget commercial solutions: try with spin audio essential bundle. it has roomverb m1 included which is a light version of the m2 (same basic algirithm just a little les options for tweaking sound, it it still has much more than most of the competition. but be aware: the presets are absolutely shit, so twaek it and you will be pleased by the sound)
