anyone else work like this? i've been arranging my electro songs into trap, bass, guit, and organ. i now have an amazing amount of material (look for an album soon) there are some challenges, but it's a blast.

i thought i was just makin the electro stuff for inspiration, but there's real world stuff there!
(i know electro is performed live, but i wanna give a show and not look like i'm "checkin my email")

I think it depends on the kind of music you make, but working with just a computer (plus maybe assorted bits and pieces) can be liberating. You can go and sit/stand in the middle of the room, between the audience. Maybe sit behind a curtain.
Hit "play" and jump up and down and run across the stage, like Donna Summer.

Me, I sometimes sit on the floor. People can see exactly what I'm doing, that way, too.

Maybe.
Using the original electronic stuff as arrangement for a band is a way of doing it, too. Personally, I don't really see the point of translating electronic music to band-based music (even though nice things can come from it). Then again, the music I make is rather hard to re-arrange into something that can be played by a band.
Again, I like the way in which an all-digital setup can lead to new ways of presenting one's music.
